Permanent Yellow HR – P.Y.83

Pigment Permanent Yellow HR – P.Y.83 is a high-performance organic pigment from the Diarylide class, characterized by a distinctive reddish-yellow hue, excellent lightfastness, and superior resistance to solvents, acids, and alkalis. The product is a fine yellow powder with a particle size <5 µm, moisture content ≤1.5%, oil absorption of 35–45 g/100g, electrical conductivity <500 µS/cm, and a stable pH range of 6.5–7.5.

With thermal stability up to 200°C, P.Y.83 is suitable for both aqueous and solvent-based systems, delivering consistent color performance under demanding processing and application conditions. 1. PRODUCT APPLICATIONS

Permanent Yellow HR – P.Y.83 is extensively applied in water-based decorative coatings, water-based printing inks, nitrocellulose (NC) inks, solvent-based coatings, coil coatings, powder coatings, PVC plastics, and synthetic fibers. Its excellent heat resistance, weatherfastness, and color stability make it an ideal choice for formulations requiring a vibrant reddish-yellow shade with durable performance in both manufacturing and outdoor environments.

2. INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE

Disperse Permanent Yellow HR – P.Y.83 using high-performance milling equipment such as high-shear mixers, bead mills, or triple-roll mills to ensure uniform particle distribution and maximum color strength. Incorporate compatible dispersing agents tailored to the base medium to enhance long-term dispersion stability. Pigment loading typically ranges from 1–8%, depending on the desired color intensity and application system.

3. TECHNICAL NOTES

Store Permanent Yellow HR – P.Y.83 in a dry, well-ventilated area, away from direct sunlight and moisture to maintain product quality. During handling, use personal protective equipment (PPE), including masks, gloves, and safety goggles, to minimize exposure to fine dust. The pigment offers high lightfastness, thermal stability up to 200°C, and resistance to common solvents such as ethanol, ketones, and toluene, ensuring reliable color stability under thermal processing and real-world weathering conditions
