1. PRODUCT APPLICATIONS
Fast Yellow 139 – P.Y.139 is widely used in automotive coatings (OEM and refinish), multi-system industrial coatings (water-based, solvent-based, epoxy, and powder coatings), decorative coatings, and outdoor coating applications. It is also suitable for powder coating systems and printing inks requiring high color durability. With its excellent weather resistance, lightfastness, and strong opacity in yellow-orange tones, P.Y.139 is an ideal choice for formulations demanding long-term color stability in harsh conditions.
2. INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE
Disperse Fast Yellow 139 – P.Y.139 using high-shear mixing systems, specialized milling, or blending equipment to achieve optimal fineness and uniform particle distribution. Incorporate compatible dispersing agents tailored to the coating or ink base system. Pigment loading typically ranges from 1–10%, depending on the desired color intensity and product specifications.
3. TECHNICAL NOTES
Store the pigment in a dry, well-ventilated area, away from direct sunlight and high humidity to maintain stability and dispersibility. Avoid mixing P.Y.139 with strong oxidizing agents without prior compatibility testing. During handling, wear personal protective equipment (PPE), including masks, safety goggles, and gloves, to minimize exposure to fine dust. The pigment offers excellent lightfastness and weather resistance, making it suitable for outdoor applications.
