PVA 098-27 is a fully water-soluble Polyvinyl Alcohol with medium viscosity and a long-chain polymer structure. It has a high degree of hydrolysis ranging from 98.0% to 99.4%. The product appears as an ivory-white, odorless powder that dissolves readily in water when properly heated. With a purity of ≥ 93.5% and stable viscosity between 23.0 and 29.0 mPa.s, PVA 098-27 meets the stringent requirements of high-performance industrial applications. 1. PRODUCT APPLICATIONS
PVA 098-27 is used as a binder for paper, wood, fabric, coatings, and inks due to its strong bonding ability and high stability. In the pharmaceutical industry, it complies with safety standards for use as a binder or film-coating agent in formulations. In the textile sector, it serves as a sizing agent to improve fiber strength, abrasion resistance, and shape retention. The product is also used in producing films for food packaging, protective layers, or water-soluble films. In polymerization and construction, PVA 098-27 functions as an emulsion stabilizer, a dispersant for PVC or VA resins, and a strength enhancer in mortar and concrete.
2. TECHNICAL NOTES
PVA 098-27 should be stored in a dry, well-ventilated area, away from direct sunlight and high humidity. After opening, reseal the packaging tightly to avoid moisture absorption and potential product degradation. When handling the powder, use protective gear such as masks and gloves to ensure workplace safety. If properly stored, the product maintains its quality for up to 36 months.
