VC85 is a wax-type external lubricant optimized for PVC, notable for its narrow molecular weight range, free from volatiles and any impurities that could cause sedimentation during processing. With a melting point around 85±5°C, the product dissolves and disperses easily from the initial stage, providing consistent lubrication and enhancing overall heat resistance for plastic compounds in low to medium temperature applications. This is one of the product codes distributed by Vichem – the official distributor of Tiansheng in Vietnam.
1. PRODUCT APPLICATIONS
VC85 is suitable for a wide range of industrial applications including filler masterbatch, non-woven color masterbatch, hot melt coatings, extruded PVC accessories, lead or calcium/zinc stabilizers, and products requiring smooth, glossy surfaces with high processing stability. Its effective low-temperature lubricating properties make it ideal for processes requiring early viscosity control and friction reduction.
2. TECHNICAL NOTES
VC85 should be evenly mixed into the polymer blend at an early stage and processed under moderate heat (below 150°C) to avoid decomposition or volatilization. As the product offers strong lubrication at low temperatures, blending ratios should be carefully considered to avoid impacting adhesion or mechanical properties of the final plastic product. It is recommended to regularly check dispersion and viscosity levels to ensure consistent production performance.
Store the product in airtight packaging in a dry, well-ventilated area, away from direct sunlight and high humidity. Do not store near high heat sources or flammable materials. Before use, check for clumping or discoloration and avoid using the product if such signs appear.
