CPE135A is a type of Chlorinated Polyethylene (CPE) with a highly elastic molecular structure, chlorinated from pure HDPE, and appears as a non-toxic white powder. With a stable chlorine content (35±2%), whiteness ≥85, and outstanding toughness (elongation ≥650%), the product offers excellent flame retardancy, long-term weather resistance, and maintains flexibility even under low-temperature environments. CPE135A is considered an ideal impact modifier for PVC systems, significantly enhancing tensile strength (≥8 MPa), and improving crack resistance and mechanical impact strength for both extruded and injection-molded products. This is one of the product codes distributed by Vichem – the official distributor of Tiansheng in Vietnam.
1. PRODUCT APPLICATIONS
CPE135A is commonly used as an impact modifier in rigid PVC formulations such as water drainage and supply pipes, wall panels, plastic doors, extruded accessories, outdoor roofing sheets, and other technical products requiring high impact resistance. Thanks to its good compatibility with various polymer systems, CPE135A can also be blended with ABS, PE, or other plastics to enhance elasticity and environmental stress crack resistance.
2. TECHNICAL NOTES
CPE135A should be added at a recommended dosage of 8–15 phr, depending on the desired impact strength and toughness of the product. For optimal dispersion, high-speed mixing is recommended before feeding into the extruder. Avoid exceeding the softening point to preserve the molecular structure and maintain whiteness. It is crucial to control moisture content in raw materials to avoid surface defects.
CPE135A should be stored in sealed packaging, away from direct light and moisture. Although it has low volatility (≤0.4%), it may absorb moisture if left exposed to air for extended periods. After opening, use promptly and reseal tightly. Storage temperature should be kept below 40°C to maintain physical stability.
