Pigment Red 254 – P.R.254 is a DPP (Diketo-pyrrolo-pyrrole) pigment known for its outstanding color performance. It offers medium opacity, a vibrant red hue, and excellent color stability over time. The pigment withstands temperatures up to 300°C and has a lightfastness rating of 8/8, making it ideal for outdoor applications. It exhibits maximum chemical resistance (rated 5/5) to acids, alkalis, solvents, alcohols, and aromatic compounds.

1. PRODUCT APPLICATIONS
Red 254 – P.R.254 is used in industrial coatings, coil coatings, powder coatings, and systems requiring high weather resistance. It is suitable for water-based and solvent-based decorative paints, as well as OEM formulations. Additionally, it is applied in textile printing, water-based inks, and various technical plastics such as PP, PVC, PU, and PS.
2. INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE
Disperse using appropriate milling equipment for the specific system. For water-based paints, verify pH stability before blending. For inks, adjust viscosity prior to incorporating into pigment concentrate systems. Use anionic or non-ionic dispersants depending on the resin base.
3. TECHNICAL NOTES
Avoid using Red 254 – P.R.254 in systems with strong reducing agents. Test color compatibility when combining with TiO₂. Store in a dry environment, away from direct sunlight and prolonged humidity. The pigment does not react with common additives, but real-world color testing is recommended.
