1. PRODUCT APPLICATIONS
TINOX R-2140 is a high-quality rutile Titanium Dioxide widely used across various coating systems due to its strong opacity, high brightness, and excellent substrate adhesion. It is suitable for water-based paints, solvent-based paints, powder coatings, coil coatings, road marking paints, and interior–exterior emulsion paints.
In addition, R-2140 is an ideal choice for technical-grade printing inks requiring strong optical performance and high formulation stability. The product is manufactured to strict quality standards, ensuring consistent results across a wide range of conditions and formulations.
2. USAGE INSTRUCTIONS
TINOX R-2140 should be dispersed using high-speed mixers or dispersing equipment. In coatings, the fineness should reach Hegman ≥6.0 to optimize gloss and hiding power. For solvent-based paints or inks, the pigment should be used with appropriate resin systems to ensure color stability. Formulation ratios should be tested in advance depending on the specific application and coating system.
3. TECHNICAL NOTES
To ensure stable dispersion, it is important to control the pH of the base system during application. With a powder whiteness ≥95, the product enables bright and clean color backgrounds without the need to increase TiO₂ dosage, helping to reduce formulation cost.
Avoid combining R-2140 with low-pH fillers or highly hygroscopic materials, as these may cause flocculation or film instability. R-2140 should be stored in a dry, well-ventilated area, away from direct sunlight and moisture, to maintain long-term quality.
