Pigment Rubine 4B – P.R.57:1 is a Monoazo Lake pigment, specifically a calcium salt (Calcium 4B), featuring a vibrant magenta-red hue, ideal for water-based ink formulations. It offers good opacity and stable dispersion due to its fine particle size below 5 microns. P.R.57:1 exhibits resistance to acids, alkalis, and solvents at a rating of 4/5, with heat stability up to 180°C. Its lightfastness is rated at 5/8, suitable for mid-term applications. With low electrical conductivity and moisture content below 2%, it blends easily with NC, PVA, acrylic, or styrene-acrylic resins. 1. PRODUCT APPLICATIONS
Rubine 4B – P.R.57:1 is primarily used in water-based inks, particularly for gravure, flexographic, paper, and film printing. It is also suitable for certain water-based ink formulations with moderate weather resistance requirements.
2. INSTRUCTION FOR USE
Disperse using a basket mill or ball mill. Adjust the pH of the ink system to 7.0–8.0 for optimal dispersion. Use non-ionic or anionic dispersants compatible with the base resin.
3. TECHNICAL NOTES
Not recommended for systems requiring high outdoor lightfastness. Test color stability before use in export packaging applications. Avoid combining with strong oxidizing agents.
