Pigment Fast Blue B – P.B.15 is an organic pigment from the Phthalocyanine group, featuring a vibrant reddish-blue hue with strong tinting strength. It exhibits excellent chemical resistance, with ratings of 5/5 for acids, alkalis, alcohol, and solvents. The pigment withstands temperatures up to 250°C and has a lightfastness rating of 7/8, making it suitable for mid-term outdoor applications. With moisture content below 1.5% and a fine particle size under 5 microns, it disperses easily. Its oil absorption ranges from 35–45 ml/100g, ideal for systems requiring viscosity control. 1. PRODUCT APPLICATIONS
P.B.15 is used in industrial coatings, offset inks, water-based inks, and for coloring PVC. It is compatible with resin systems such as acrylic, alkyd, NC, PU, and thermoplastic polymers. The pigment is suitable for both interior coatings and select outdoor applications requiring stable color performance.
2. INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE
Disperse using high-speed mixing equipment or a ball mill for optimal dispersion. For water-based systems, adjust the pH to 7.0–8.0 to ensure stability. Use non-ionic or anionic dispersants compatible with the specific resin system.
3. TECHNICAL NOTES
Avoid use in systems requiring greenish-blue shades. Test compatibility for applications exposed to prolonged weathering. Do not expose to strong oxidizing agents. Store in a sealed container to maintain consistent fineness.
