1. PRODUCT APPLICATIONS
CR-1120 is a multipurpose rutile TiO₂ powder suitable for a wide range of industrial uses. It offers excellent whiteness, fineness, and dispersibility, making it ideal for interior and exterior coatings, water-based and solvent-based paints, as well as industrial, automotive, and powder coatings. Additionally, it is widely used in PVC, ABS, PP, white masterbatches, and premium-grade inks where excellent substrate adhesion and coverage are critical. Thanks to its durability, it performs well under harsh environmental and weather conditions, making it a smart choice for demanding applications.
2. USAGE INSTRUCTIONS
In paint formulations, TiO₂ should be dispersed thoroughly into the resin system to maximize opacity. Use high-speed dispersers or controlled mixing to achieve a Hegman fineness ≥6. For plastic applications, incorporate CR-1120 during extrusion or injection molding under controlled temperatures. Avoid using it alongside coarse fillers that may interfere with surface interactions or compromise adhesion.
3. TECHNICAL NOTES
To ensure optimal performance, store TINOX CR-1120 in a dry, airtight environment, avoiding moisture that may cause agglomeration. Monitor the pH level of the formulation to maintain system stability and optimal dispersion. Do not exceed the recommended TiO₂ loading in masterbatches, as it may negatively affect base polymer flexibility. Proper dispersion techniques are essential to prevent issues such as white spots, flocculation, or color inconsistency.
