    Description:

    • T106D is an additive produced by the extreme alkalization reaction of heavy Alkyl Benzene raw materials.
    • The product has good alkali reserve properties, good oil solubility and strong acid neutralization ability. It can quickly neutralize organic and inorganic acids in oil.
    • It has excellent detergency and thermal stability at high temperatures. It is the preferred additive for blending high alkali synthetic marine cylinder oil.

    T106D is a synthetic calcium sulfonate-based additive, produced through a high alkalinity reaction with heavy alkylbenzene sulfonic acid. The product has a very high Total Base Number (TBN ≥ 395 mgKOH/g), and appears as a reddish-brown viscous liquid that dissolves well in oil and blends easily into mineral or semi-synthetic base formulations. With excellent acid-neutralizing capacity and outstanding thermal stability, T106D is an ideal choice for formulating high-alkaline marine cylinder oils. This product is officially distributed by Vichem – the authorized distributor of MINGLAN in Vietnam.

    1. PRODUCT APPLICATIONS

    T106D is primarily used as a key additive in marine cylinder oils, where strong acid neutralization and metal surface protection are required. It enhances detergency, high-temperature deposit control, and oil service life thanks to its superior dispersing and stabilizing properties. T106D is also used in high-load engine oil formulations, where it protects pistons and cylinders from the corrosive effects of high-sulfur fuels.

    2. TECHNICAL NOTES

    T106D should be stored in tightly sealed containers, away from moisture and direct sunlight. Avoid exposure to strong oxidizing agents and temperatures beyond recommended limits. Appropriate protective equipment should be used during handling to prevent direct skin contact.
