PEWAX VC60 is a high-purity, full powder lubricant that enables flexible flow control during PVC processing, thanks to a melting point ≥ 51°C and a high flash point ≥ 240°C. With a low acid value (≤ 3.5 mg KOH/g) and extremely low volatility at 105°C (≤ 1.5%), the product is fully compatible with powdered stabilizers, pigments, and other additive systems without affecting the physical and mechanical properties of the plastic. It complies with ROHS and REACH standards and contains no bisphenol A – a crucial factor for environmentally friendly formulations. 1. PRODUCT APPLICATIONS
VC60 is effectively used in both rigid and flexible PVC systems, including window/door profiles, drainage pipes, calendered sheets, foam boards, foam shoe soles, valve accessories, and stone plastic composite boards. It is also an ideal choice for PVC masterbatch production and calcium–zinc stabilizer processing, thanks to its excellent compatibility, enhanced pigment dispersion, and improved performance of auxiliary components in the compound.
2. TECHNICAL NOTES
VC60 is suitable for both extrusion and injection molding processes. However, it should be thoroughly dispersed in the polymer mixture before heating to avoid agglomeration and degradation. When blending with stabilizers or pigments, perform a small-scale compatibility test to ensure uniform effectiveness. Avoid processing at temperatures exceeding 240°C to prevent performance loss or gas release.
Store VC60 in sealed packaging in a dry, cool, and well-ventilated area, away from direct heat sources or high humidity environments. Do not expose the product to sunlight for prolonged periods. If not used completely, reseal the bag and record the opening date for quality control. Use the product based on FIFO (first in – first out) principles.
