Uralac 7110 X-70 is an acrylic polyol resin supplied as a solution containing 70% solids in xylene, manufactured by Covestro. It is specially designed for two-component polyurethane (2K PU) coating systems, providing high gloss, excellent transparency, and outstanding yellowing resistance.
With a polymer structure optimized for topcoat applications, Uralac 7110 X-70 forms a thick, smooth film with strong light reflection, creating a premium mirror-like finish. Its 3% hydroxyl value balances hardness and flexibility, giving the coating excellent durability, crack resistance, and UV stability.
The resin demonstrates exceptional outdoor performance, proven by a QUV test of 800 hours with ΔE = 0.8, confirming long-term gloss and color retention. It is an ideal resin for automotive, motorcycle, wood, and metal coatings that demand superior finish and weather resistance.

Uralac 7110 X-70 delivers a high-gloss finish, with gloss levels measured at 60° reaching approximately 95%, resulting in a mirror-like, clear, and elegant surface. The coating film maintains long-term color stability, resisting yellowing or discoloration under prolonged exposure to sunlight and high temperatures.
The product exhibits excellent weather resistance and UV protection, preventing fading or dullness over time. Its thick, smooth, and level film allows for high coverage, producing a refined surface with minimal defects.
With strong adhesion, Uralac 7110 X-70 is compatible with a wide range of substrates, including wood, metal, and engineering plastics. Furthermore, it can be easily thinned with aromatic, ester, or ketone solvents, ensuring stable viscosity, smooth leveling, and easy application during coating processes.
1. PRODUCT APPLICATIONS
Uralac 7110 X-70 is widely used in high-performance coating formulations that demand deep gloss and outstanding durability. In the automotive and motorcycle industries, it serves as a 2K PU topcoat binder, providing a brilliant mirror-like finish, excellent color retention, and superior UV resistance.
For industrial coatings, Uralac 7110 X-70 delivers a durable, weather-resistant top layer that protects machinery, equipment, and metal surfaces from aging and environmental degradation. In the wood coatings sector, the resin produces a high-gloss, premium finish that both enhances and preserves the natural wood grain while ensuring non-yellowing performance over time.
Additionally, when used in metal and engineering plastic coatings, it forms a tough, chemically resistant film with excellent impact strength. When combined with Desmodur Ultra hardeners such as Z4470, N3300, N3390, or N75, Uralac 7110 X-70 provides 2K PU systems with superior hardness, gloss, and weather resistance.
2. TECHNICAL NOTES
Uralac 7110 X-70 should be thinned with aromatic, ester, or ketone solvents, depending on the evaporation rate and actual application conditions. For curing, it should be combined with suitable Desmodur hardeners at the recommended NCO:OH ratio to achieve optimal performance.
The product should be stored in a dry, well-ventilated area at 5–30°C, away from direct sunlight. It must not be frozen below 0°C, and the container should be tightly sealed after opening to minimize solvent evaporation and prevent the formation of a dry film.
During handling, it is recommended to wear protective gloves and safety goggles, and to ensure adequate ventilation in the working area to maintain safe conditions. The shelf life of the product is 6 months from the date of manufacture when stored under standard conditions.
