BOOM R-95 is a rutile-type Titanium Dioxide pigment manufactured using the chloride process, with a dual surface treatment combining inorganic coatings of zirconium and aluminum, along with a special organic layer. This dual structure provides R-95 with superior opacity, excellent dispersibility, high tinting strength, and optimized performance efficiency. 1. PRODUCT APPLICATIONS
BOOM R-95 is a high-performance rutile TiO₂ widely applied across industries due to its stable dispersion, high brightness, and compatibility with various processing technologies. It is suitable for water-based and solvent-based paints, PVC, ABS, PP plastics, as well as white masterbatches. Additionally, it is frequently used in high-performance printing inks, technical rubber, and coated paper.
With its reliable and consistent performance, R-95 is widely favored in the Southeast Asian market and serves as an optimal choice for manufacturers requiring multi-purpose TiO₂ that is easy to handle and meets quality standards across various application environments.
2. USAGE INSTRUCTIONS
R-95 should be dispersed using a mixer or high-speed dispersing equipment. In paints and inks, a Hegman fineness ≥6 is recommended to maximize hiding power. For plastics and rubber, it should be evenly blended during hot-melt extrusion or roll milling to avoid color loss or agglomeration. R-95 is compatible with both polar and non-polar resin systems.
3. TECHNICAL NOTES
TiO₂ R-95 has high whiteness, helping to create a bright, clean base and supporting vivid color formulations. Its low oil absorption improves color strength, enhances opacity, and reduces the amount of resin needed, delivering excellent cost-performance benefits to manufacturers.
To maintain dispersibility and product quality, store the pigment in a dry, sealed environment, avoiding direct exposure to moisture. It should not be mixed with additives containing strongly reactive ions, as this may diminish optical effects and negatively affect the brightness of the final formulation.
