PVA 088-60 is a high-viscosity, fully water-soluble Polyvinyl Alcohol with a long-chain polymer structure and a hydrolysis degree ranging from 86.0% to 87.0%. The product appears as an ivory-white, odorless powder that disperses well in water upon heating. With a purity level of ≥ 93.5% and viscosity between 50.0 and 58.0 mPa.s, PVA 088-60 provides excellent adhesion, film formation, and stability in various industrial formulations. 1. PRODUCT APPLICATIONS
PVA 088-60 is an ideal choice for the adhesive and printing industries, enhancing bonding strength and mechanical durability in paper-based packaging. In the textile and synthetic fiber industries, it functions as a sizing agent and binder, improving fiber shaping and adhesion. In food packaging, PVA 088-60 creates protective films with oil resistance, water repellency, and extended shelf life. It is also applied in polymerization processes to stabilize emulsions and enable uniform dispersion during PVC production. Additionally, PVA 088-60 serves as an additive in the construction industry, improving durability and waterproofing for mortar, walls, and roofing systems.
2. TECHNICAL NOTES
PVA 088-60 should be stored in its original packaging, in a dry, ventilated area away from direct sunlight. Reseal the packaging after each use to prevent moisture absorption that may affect product quality. When handling powder form, use protective equipment such as masks and gloves to avoid inhaling fine dust. When stored under proper conditions, the product has a shelf life of up to 60 months.
