MicroMedia Invicta™ is Bühler’s fully upgraded version of the traditional MicroMedia™ series. With an optimized grinding chamber, enhanced flow path design, and precise thermal control, Invicta™ increases processing capacity while reducing energy consumption by up to 50%.
The system is ideal for nano-scale grinding applications, ensuring uniform particle dispersion, free of agglomerates, and without material degradation during operation. This is one of the products distributed by Vichem – Bühler’s official distributor in Vietnam.
1. PRODUCT APPLICATIONS
MicroMedia Invicta™ is used in the production of industrial printing inks, premium coatings, ultra-fine color pastes, and functional surface materials. It handles organic pigments, metallic pigments, inorganic oxides, and active ingredients requiring particle sizes below 100 nm. The equipment is widely favored in sectors such as electronics, engineering plastics, high-tech cosmetics, and advanced materials including nano ceramics, lithium batteries, and specialty polymer films.
2. OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS
During operation, pre-filtered paste should be fed via a recirculation pump. Adjust rotation speed and flow rate to maintain stable chamber pressure. Use grinding beads sized between 0.05–0.3 mm depending on the pigment system, and regularly check the cleanliness of the basket and outlet. Set a temperature limit of < 50°C for heat-sensitive materials. After each batch, clean the system using Bühler-recommended solvents to prevent residue buildup and cross-contamination.
3. TECHNICAL NOTES
Do not use unprocessed materials with large particle sizes, as they may clog the basket. Ensure the formulation has a viscosity between 500–3,000 cP for optimal milling efficiency. For moisture-sensitive or reactive materials, it is recommended to install an anti-evaporation cover and a closed-loop cooling system. The mill can be integrated with a PLC control unit and flow sensors to monitor abnormal pressure, helping to extend the lifespan of bearings and the grinding shaft.
