Luminy® L105 is a high-heat resistant PLA homopolymer resin produced by TotalEnergies Corbion. The product is made from 100% renewable resources, significantly reducing CO₂ emissions. It is one of the product lines distributed by Vichem – the exclusive agent of TotalEnergies Corbion in Vietnam.
PRODUCT APPLICATIONS
Luminy® L105 is used in food packaging, cups, biodegradable cutlery, and environmentally friendly consumer goods. In the industrial field, it is suitable for technical injection molded parts, electronic components, industrial fibers, and heat-resistant films. With heat resistance up to 105°C, Luminy® L105 ensures excellent durability and dimensional stability under demanding conditions.

PROCESSING INSTRUCTIONS
Before processing, the resin pellets should be dried for 4–6 hours at 100°C to reduce moisture below 250 ppm. Recommended injection molding temperature is between 180–220°C, with mold temperature maintained at 20–100°C depending on the product. Screw speed should be kept low to minimize degradation. During startup or shutdown, the equipment should be purged using LDPE or Dyna-Purge compounds to prevent cross-contamination and corrosion.
TECHNICAL NOTES
After production, PLA must be completely removed from the equipment to avoid degradation into lactic acid. The resin should be stored in sealed packaging, protected from direct sunlight, and kept below 50°C. Products are supplied in 1250 kg aluminum-lined big bags or 25 kg trial bags.
