1. PRODUCT APPLICATIONS
Fast Red BBS – P.R.48:3 is widely used in industrial coatings, powder coatings, and solvent-based coatings. It is also suitable for select PVC coating formulations and decorative coatings requiring a brilliant red shade, excellent dispersibility, and color stability at high temperatures. Its good chemical resistance ensures consistent color performance in environments with fluctuating pH or exposure to mild solvents.
2. INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE
Disperse the pigment using high-shear mixing equipment or bead/triple-roll mills to achieve optimal particle size distribution. For solvent-based or powder coating systems, incorporate compatible dispersing agents suited to the resin or thermoset matrix to enhance compatibility and color adhesion. Pigment loading typically ranges from 1–8%, depending on the desired color intensity and coating film properties.
3. TECHNICAL NOTES
Store Fast Red BBS – P.R.48:3 in a dry, well-ventilated area, away from moisture and direct sunlight to preserve its fineness and color stability. During handling, wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE), including gloves, masks, and safety goggles, to avoid inhalation of fine dust. The pigment is suitable for applications with moderate to high thermal demands but should not be used in systems with strong acids or highly aggressive solvents without prior testing. It serves as an effective replacement for lower-durability azo-based red pigments.
